OpenSEO is an open-source MCP server: eight tools (Keyword Research, Domain Overview, Backlinks, Rank Tracking, Site Audit, AI Visibility, Prompt Explorer, Saved Keywords) that plug into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex, OpenCode and Gemini, all reading the same DataForSEO-backed index. The cloud version is $10 a month, which includes $10 of usage; anything past that draws from credits you buy separately and that never expire. Google Search Console data is free and does not touch the balance. It can also be self-hosted end to end at no licence cost, which none of the other tools on this page offer.
It is a query layer for a person or an agent to interpret. It has no crew, writes nothing, and publishes nothing.
ZwayRank measures the same things: whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude name you, who they name instead, which pages they cite, and where Google ranks you. The difference is what happens next. A crew of twelve agents accepts the strongest gaps, writes the page, fixes the schema, plans the posts, publishes with your approval, and re-measures a week later. Two different jobs
OpenSEO is built for the moment you are already inside Claude Code or Cursor and want to ask "what's my domain rating" or "pull the backlinks for this competitor" without leaving the editor. That is a genuinely useful, cheap tool, and self-hosting it is a real option nobody else here gives you. It has no opinion about what you should do with the answer and no mechanism to do it for you.
ZwayRank starts from the same kind of question and keeps going: the gap becomes a task, the task gets written, committed to your site, scheduled, verified live, and re-measured, all logged with a time and a reason. You do not have to be the one holding the coding assistant open to make it happen.
AI visibility, measured two different ways
OpenSEO's AI Visibility tool reads DataForSEO's index of AI mentions, citations and prompts, which is fast and cheap but one step removed from the engine. ZwayRank actually asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude your buyers' real questions and stores the word-for-word answer, so a sentence in the app is a sentence a model really said.

Self-hosting
If running your own infrastructure matters more than anything else on this page, OpenSEO is the only self-hostable option here and that is a real reason to pick it.
