Then the servers are fine and something between your device and the internet is not. Almost always it is the name lookup: your device asks a DNS server where app.zwayrank.com lives, that answer does not arrive, and the browser says the site cannot be reached. It looks identical to an outage and it is not one.

Two reasons, and neither is your fault. A VPN sends every name lookup through its own DNS server inside the tunnel, so a hiccup in the tunnel drops the question rather than answering it late. And the app's address has a short cache life, so your device has to ask again every minute or so. More questions asked means more chances for one to go missing.

Set a custom DNS server inside the VPN app itself. Most of them have the setting, and 1.1.1.1 with 8.8.8.8 as the second is a good pair. That keeps the VPN on all day and takes its own resolver out of the path. Clearing the cache on your machine fixes the moment but not the cause.

Open this page. If it loads and says all systems are running, our servers answered a moment ago. Then read the box near the top: that one is your own browser calling the app from your network, so it tells you whether the call gets through from where you are.

Three things, without anybody asking. The screens are checked continuously and restarted if they stop answering. A watchdog outside our own servers checks the address from another network and restarts whichever half is at fault. And the owner is emailed with how long it was away and whether a deploy caused it.

Seven days of interruptions, and uptime over one, seven and thirty days. The record is a heartbeat written every minute; a gap in the heartbeats is an interruption and its length is the gap. An interruption happening right now counts against the number, so it cannot flatter itself.
